Lip Balm for Allergies
People with ingredient sensitivities tend to become very good at reading labels. Mostly because they have to.
The issue is that lip balm labels are often crowded with:
- waxes
- oils
- fragrance compounds
- preservatives
- flavor systems
Even products marketed toward sensitive skin usually contain multiple potential irritants.
Dollop removes most of those variables.
The Ingredient List
That’s the entire ingredient list. No beeswax. No essential oils. No added fragrance.
Why Keep It So Minimal?
The more ingredients involved, the harder it becomes to identify what’s causing a reaction.
Dollop was intentionally designed almost as a control variable: remove everything unnecessary and start from the simplest possible baseline.
Why Shea Butter?
Shea butter naturally functions as both an emollient and occlusive ingredient, meaning it helps soften skin while slowing moisture loss. Normally brands combine several ingredients to achieve that balance.
Dollop keeps it in its simplest form instead.
Why This Exists
This started because my wife couldn’t comfortably use most lip products we tried.
After enough ingredient list comparisons, I realized the market had plenty of “natural” products, but very few genuinely minimal ones, especially in tube form.
So I made one.
