Lip Balm for Sensitive Skin
One of the more frustrating things about sensitive skin is how vague product labels tend to become.
“Gentle.” “Natural.” “Clean.”
Meanwhile, it takes you two minutes to read through the entire ingredient list .
Dollop was designed purely by asking the question: What's actually necessary?
The Ingredient list?
Nothing else.
No fragrance. No flavoring. No preservatives. No beeswax.
Why Simplicity Matters
A lot of lip irritation comes down to repeated exposure of
- fragrances
- essential oils
- preservatives
- flavor compounds
- certain waxes
The challenge is that these ingredients are so common that avoiding them becomes surprisingly difficult. Especially if you still want a normal tube format instead of carrying around a tin or a squeeze bottle.
Why Dollop Feels Different
Traditional lip balm texture is usually engineered through wax blends and stabilizers. Dollop doesn’t try to "standardize" the feel of shea butter.
So depending on temperature, it may feel firmer or softer than conventional balm. That variation is normal.
Why Dollop Exists
Honestly, this product started more as an elimination exercise than a business idea. My wife reacted to enough products and I wanted to see how simple a lip balm could realistically be while still being practical for daily use.
This ended up being the result.
